Washed-Out Saturday

Saturday was huge pain trying to get my laundry done. First my start time on my laundry was delayed as I had to dig through some stuff to try and find my cell-phone recharger. After wasting an hour or so doing that, I plug my phone in and finish putting stuff in my laundry basket.

I lug down my clothes to the laundry hut and begin loading them into the machines, when two plumbing trucks pull up. They can see me as I finish loading the machines, but decide just in case to ask if what they're doing will affect me. They say the hot water will be shut off for a few hours, so I move all the stuff back into my basket and lug it back up the slope. Three hours later, they finally finish, and I lug the basket back down and start it all over again.

Oi! Don't you hate it when something as seemingly simple as doing the laundry becomes a huge ordeal? Once, just once, wouldn't it be nice to have an entire a day where things just ... go smoothly?
