Not Your Typical Weekend

This last weekend turned out to be a strange one indeed. On Friday I must have twisted my right foot a bit, because by evening it was hurting. This pretty much confined me to my chair watching TV for the night.

Saturday I had to get groceries, and it took me visits to 4 different stores to get it completed enough. It's all part of the downside of living by oneself; if something needs to be done, YOU have to do it. (Now if I could only get some upside.) Fortunately, the pain wasn't too bad throughout the day.

Sunday saw the weirdest turn of events. Deciding to stay home in order to take it easy on my feet, I started out with some reading on a new book I got. Later on I turned on the TV, deciding to flip around the channels before watching the news and my usual Sunday block of TV (The Simpsons, American Dad, Family Guy). However, a police chase involving a semi-truck that was commandeered was taking place, so most of my viewing options that night were limited to watching a slow speed chase of a semi (with its front axle running on the rims) along I-20.

hope the foot is better - nothing worse than hobbling around like a downtrodden cripple
