A look at my TV (Fall 2005)

I thought it would be interesting to offer a look at what shows I watch on TV, and add a few thoughts about them. Rather than list all of them, I decided to create 4 categories and select one show from each.

Here is the format. If you feel inclined to do something like this, please let me know so I can see your choices.
1) New show that I am watching
2) Returning show that I am watching
3) Returning show that I am no longer watching
4) Wildcard (basically, any show that you have watched)

New show that I am watching
Stargate Atlantis - This one gets the slot by default, and it may not be around much longer if it doesn't shape up. I don't like the characters, and they seem to be ignoring a lot of the "stargate physics" established in SG-1.

Returning show that I am watching
Family Guy - All hail Stewie!! Hopefully the network has finally learned its lesson (after canceling it twice) and will keep it around for a while this time. Adam West playing himself as the mayor of the town is hilarious.

Returning show that I am no longer watching
Charmed - This show has pretty much run its course with me. At the beginning it was neat, with the sisters struggling to learn their craft and powers, and nice character development. Then suddenly they became über-witches pulling spells out of thin air, and character development came to a halt. With last season's finale designed to act as a series finale (the decision to renew had not been made when it was written), I decided to call it quits on this series.

Wildcard
Beauty and the Geek - I'll have to admit a Machiavellian interest in first watching this show, namely to see the beauties get a bit of a "comeupance" in finding out that us socially-inept geeks are good-hearted people too. Don't know how B&TG2 will play out with the contestants knowing the premise of the series beforehand.

Um, what's missing here? I'm shocked and appalled. :P
